Criticism of atheism?

The primary criticism of atheism is that it rejects belief in God, for whose existence theist and deist critics think there are long-establishedarguments. Thus in the Bible the Psalmist declares: "The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God' ", while the Catechism of the Catholic Churchstates: "Since it rejects or denies the existence of God, atheism is a sin against the virtue of religion". Atheists, however, regard the arguments for the existence of God as unconvincing or flawed.
Criticism of strong atheism also comes from agnostics, who contend that there are insufficient grounds to assert authoritatively that any supreme being does not exist, and from ignostics, who take the theological noncognitivist position that the question of the existence of God (per that definition) is meaningless or not properly defined to allow one to take a meaningful position on.
